I want to formally welcome Christopher Stadulis as a contributor to this blog.

I first meet Christopher during auditions for The Upside Down Mirror (produced by The Riant Theatre).

He invited me to join his myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/actingsuccess) -- I did, started reading his blog there, and I was blown away with his mindset, focus, and positive attitude about becoming -- and BEING/REMAINING -- a professional actor.

I asked Christopher if he would be willing to publish some of his advice and experience here, and he graciously agreed. I've been focusing more and more on the business side of acting myself, and the more I do it, the more I read, the more questions I ask, and the more I understand -- the more I realize just how critical and important it is to be on top your game business-wise.

I've been trying to post about my own experiences, but I wanted Christopher to post here because I think he can really address a basic mission of this blog, and that is to give great first-person advice to young actors who want to start going "pro."

Yes -- to go "pro" takes talent, and Christopher is definitely a terrific actor, but -- it takes way more than that. If you want to know what, start with Christopher's posting here, and check out his network page on NextCat.

- Cheers,
Christopher, On The Edge of America.
